Taranaki is an important part of me, and I feel strongly connected to the region through family and friends, work, and growing up here as a child. I went to school in Stratford and New Plymouth. I currently teach in Hawera. Taranaki is where my roots are. I love this place.
I have had a number of roles over my teaching career from starting out as a new-entrants teacher, principal at a rural primary school, part-time lecturer at teachers training college, auditor for the Education Review Office to where I am now as the Head of Technologies at a local secondary school.
I am married and have five grandchildren. I am passionate about leaving a legacy for our children and grandchildren we can be proud of.
